I’m well aware how terrific it is to be living in Texas, and apparently the word has gotten around. The population projections below are from the San Antonio Business Journal. These projections are for the Year 2050—admittedly a long time away—but cool nonetheless.
- By 2050, Texas population will have doubled.
- Current population of Texas is estimated at about 26.2 million residents.
- Projected population by 2050 is 54.4 million residents.
- If all migration to Texas were to cease, projected 2050 population is estimated at 31 million residents.
These projections were according to a report by the Texas’ Office of the State Demographer.
