Tobin Center for the Performing Arts is near the heart of downtown San Antonio offers everything from stand-up to opera. To give you an idea of the range of performances held at this venue, scheduled this season is Bill Engvall, The Barber of Seville, Alice Cooper, Mozart, Louie Anderson, Ronnie Milsap, The Price is Right Live, Mendelssohn, and more.
The Tobin Center is located on the River Walk leading up to Museum Reach and is a home where resident performing arts groups can grow and thrive. Also, it provides San Antonio children and the community with access to the professional arts and exposure to remarkable performances and opportunities in high-quality arts education. The Tobin Center, partnered with Northeast ISD, work alongside Kennedy Center artists and national education leaders to provide professional development in the arts for elementary level classroom teachers.
The Tobin Center features all of the following:
- State-of-the-art, multi-purpose 1,738-seat H-E-B Performance Hall (2,100-seat with flat-floor configuration)
- 295-seat Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater
- Outdoor performance plaza connected to the River Walk with a permanent 30-foot video wall
